Accentuate the Positive (ATP) is a community-wide celebration, to salute the positive aspects of life in the region, and the people and organizations making a measurable difference in our community. Hundreds of quality of life supporters joined TMT at the Peppermill Tuscany Ballroom last October 9th for ATP 2009. The event is typically biennial, but TMT is reviewing the format for greater focus on our community’s quality of life indicator’s performance. So check back in early 2011 for more information on the next ATP. And if you didn’t have a chance to attend the 2009 celebration, read below for more information.

Exhibit in the Avenue of the Stars
Starting before the luncheon, guests are invited to stroll through the Avenue of the Stars, an interactive and thought provoking showcase featuring the Silver Star’s award winning work along with other businesses and organizations impacting our community in unique and positive ways. Honor the 2009 Silver Stars
Truckee Meadows Tomorrow honors individuals and organizations with Silver Stars for measurably improving the community’s 33 quality of life indicators. Anyone can nominate a Silver Star. Congratulate Fred Boyd, 2009 Making a Genuine Difference Awardee
In 2005, Truckee Meadows Tomorrow, in conjunction with Renown Health presented the first perpetual Making a Genuine Difference Award to an individual whose “lifetime” commitment to quality of life in the Truckee Meadows has gone above and beyond.
