WASHOE COUNTY REGISTRAR OF VOTERS
As part of its community outreach program, the Washoe County Registrar of Voters regularly makes free, nonpartisan educational presentations at community events, high schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, and senior living communities.
Voter education presentations cover election-specific information (e.g., how a closed primary works), election dates and deadlines, voter registration requirements, the Official Voter Information Guide, what’s a sample ballot, voting at the polls, voting by mail and early voting, accessibility, and bi-lingual voter services. During the presentation, individuals can register to vote, complete a request for voting by mail, and receive information about working as an Election Day poll worker.
For organizations interested in conducting a voter registration drive, the office provides presentations on the requirements for conducting a drive, including directions for checking if each registration form is completed correctly. It includes general information about the voting process.
