About the Event

Did you know that Mental Health America ranked Nevada 51st among states in seven categories of youths at risk? Psychological and emotional disturbances, substance abuse disorders, major depressive episodes and suicide rates are on the rise statewide due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn what is what is being done to battle this growing issue.

Join us in this monthly speaker series to learn about critical local issues that impact your quality of life here in the Truckee Meadows. Each month we will focus on a specific different area of quality of life. For May, we are excited to bring you the second STUDENT EDITION of the Community Conversation Speaker Series. 

Experts from Talkspace, University of Michigan School of Medicine and Public Health, LifeIsWorthIt.org and Washoe County School District discuss with local teens about the impacts of the panedemic on kids and thier mental health.  This panel is student led, student run, and student focused through the WCSD Service Learning Program.
