Though 2023 is off and running, we can't help but reminisce on 2022...so much great work was accomplished, so much innovation, so much impact, and so much growth!
It was a big year for TMT. Really! Read more below to see just a few highlights.
Though 2023 is off and running, we can't help but reminisce on 2022...so much great work was accomplished, so much innovation, so much impact, and so much growth!
The inertia of our new NevadaTomorrow.org Community Data Portal kept picking up speed. Our data portal saw over 34, 277 page views in 2022 with more than 88,000 views since our launch in 2020. This year, more than 11,000 new users visited the site!
We taught dozens of local non-profits, organizations, and government agencies how to use NevadaTomorrow.org to elevate their internal operations-helping tell their story, demonstrate the real need for real people, better target their work, and secure desperately needed funding.
We built custom data dashboards for Washoe County Health District (launching in February 2023!), One Truckee River (ready to launch soon!) and the HELLO Project - "Quality of Life for Seniors in the Truckee Meadows".
We presented on the youth mental health crisis, the impact of corporate philanthropy in Nevada, the state of mental health, childhood cancer, small business and affordable housing/homelessness and so much more.
Our Board of Directors participated in a daylong Strategic Direction session where we identified our 2023 data priorities (Education, Mental Health, Natural Environment and Arts & Cultural Vitality) as well as our internal priority of how TMT will address DEIA+ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility) needs.
We published the 2022 Community Progress Report to great fanfare! We saw more than 8,000 visits to the website and printed more than 500 copies! We are excited to bring this back to you in 2023.
Our Community Conversation Speaker Series hosted 6 incredible events collectively bringing almost 20 local experts to the table to discuss the obstacles and opportunities we face as a community here in the Truckee Meadows. You can watch all of the Speaker Series events on our YouTube Channel.
We finished the critically important HELLO Project - an effort designed to reduce isolation and mental health challenges in our region's most vulnerable seniors. The HELLO Project is funded by the BUILD Health Challenge (mostly the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the deBeaumont Foundation) and Renown Health along with other community partners to improve connectivity for seniors.
We initiated three new members of the board of directors. Learn more about them here!
We grew our team by adding a new Deputy Director position. We are so happy to have welcomed Sarah Gobbs-Hill to our team!
It was a BIG year for TMT but it was great fun too. I am looking forward to this year as there is so much in store for our community and region. Our future is BRIGHT here in the Truckee Meadows. Join us!
